Explore the Prehistory time period through hands on activities relating to the archaeology of the time, grind wheat to make flour, attempt weaving and the recreation
of cave art. The group will also reenact the burial of the Bronze Age Denham archer. We will talk through one of the methods used by archaeologists to date objects
known as stratigraphy. We will look at the clues from the burial and discuss what it tells us about person who has been buried but also about the Bronze
Age more generally. (Suggested age 7 plus)

We welcome younger siblings in the sessions, the grain that can be ground to make flour may present a choking hazard, so please supervise young children by this activity. We are happy to put out colouring activities for little ones too so do let us know if this would be useful, just email [email protected]

Our workshops last an hour, are bookable, with sessions taking place at 11:15am. All children must be accompanied by an adult, however only book a place for the participating child(ren).
